Two Women. One Vision!
We are on a mission to make the world a more clayful place. Playing with clay has all types of educational and therapeutic benefits for children. Since we’re all kids at heart, we love that our work brings families and friends together… to learn and grow!

Founder’s Back Story
Originally, the ClayFingers founder Marisol Seok was a graphic designer.
Feeling frustrated by 2D and 3D drawing, she turned to clay animation. Landing a job in a stop-motion company, she realized the potential of this art form.
Marisol started to see the world with a fresh perspective, understanding the composition of everyday objects in terms of simple lines and shapes.
She worked tirelessly, staying up all night sometimes to improve her ability to make things from clay. Her turning point arrived when she realized she didn’t need to get more complex, but rather to break down the complexity into more basic forms, recreating and assembling them into awesome, new clay creations.
Marisol explains:
"As my clay modeling skills became more developed, one day I found my drawings have also improved tremendously. My problem was my 3D spatial awareness abilities. I realized that spatial understanding is a crucial skill needed in my field of work. I began to research more about the importance of 3D spatial understanding and quickly began to realize how crucial it is for children’s brain development and the STEM field.
There are many tools that help in the STEM field but clay is not a complicated tool like coding or mathematics.
It is the perfect medium for children that can easily combine fun while learning when creating objects out of clay. This is the reason why I started ClayFingers.
As the founder, I’ve made it my mission to explore how our brain can develop through clay as a medium.
I hope my work and journey can make someone smile, inspire, or help someone out there."

"The packaging of this clay is actually really cool. It comes in the form of two boxes, the outer "shipping" box which has a plain brown cardboard "outside" unfolds into a glossy fully colour printed ideas sheet with instructions and examples on how to create different shapes and some creatures - which happen to be mostly dinosaurs, something that my kids are crazy about at the moment. The inner box holds the individually packaged lumps of clay and on the outside of the box is a colour mixing guide and some more ideas for creations. While it does seem a bit of a packaging explosion due to each lump of clay being individually packed, I can appreciate that it keeps the unused clay fresh. A ziploc bag is included for putting the clay into after it's been opened.
The clay itself is, really, fantastic quality. It's light, soft and squishy and it almost feels like a really soft marshmallow material to handle. It's super easy to work with, the colours are bright, it doesn't smell toxic and doesn't transfer any colour onto your hands or elsewhere when working with it. Oh and it's completely non-greasy, too, unlike some other clays we have.
I attached a photo of the first thing my 7 year old made with this kit, she's REALLY happy with this clay."

“My family and I have tried many of their YouTube tutorials and very much enjoyed those .... so this was on another level! To have the clay artist there showing us at the same time instructing us and answering our questions was a dream come true! These ladies are beyond talented and to top it off just so sweet. We couldn’t have had a better time! I hope there will be more opportunities to take these types of classes in the future ... sign me up!!! ”

"Asher’s first few birthday gift! Really fun and kept them occupied for more than 1.5 hours and they are still playing with it! Maybe we should do a group buy! "

“My 13 year-old and 10 year-old enjoyed working with this unique clay. It wasn’t sticky or smelly so they could play with it and not be distracted by sensitivities. The colors blend well and my older one made her own colors. The kit comes with a chart on how to mix colors. The creative possibilities are endless with this feature. My younger one enjoyed it the most and felt confident working with this clay. He gets frustrated working with regular clay because it’s hard to shape. This one molds easily and stays the way they want them to. Drying doesn’t change the colors or shapes. Everything dries just as it was made and no cracking. Very high quality art supply and fun to work with.”
